This hotel is a hidden gem in the beautiful Campos area. The old stone house and its charming courtyard make for a unique and character-filled stay. The staff are incredibly friendly and go out of their way to ensure guests feel at home. The rooms, although slightly outdated, are clean and comfortable with a cozy bed and basic amenities. And the homemade tangerine marmalade served at breakfast is simply superb!
All was perfect, couldn't ask for more.

Really enjoyed my stay in Topakas House thanks to the owner, Eleni. She is a great person and made our stay even more enjoyable with her great company and her help at anytime of the day/night. Thank you so much Eleni, I hope I will come back again in a few years after I finish my studies.

The owner and hostess of the hotel was extremely pleasant, helpful and cheerful our entire stay. Her hospitality took a lovely hotel and made it into a lovely experience for myself and my boyfriend on our anniversary. Topakas is located outside the bustling city center, but the beautiful neighborhood and simplicity of travel make this ideal. The room was very clean and large, with a small stove and oven, coffee pot, a/c, and plenty of storage space for those planning on long term stays. The beautiful garden made mornings and evenings at the hotel very pleasant and the hostess was always quick to offer refreshment of any kind. I highly recommend this to anyone (singles, couples, families) traveling through Chios.

This hotel is located in a convenient area near two great supermarkets and has a charming garden next to it. the airport is within walking distance, making it an easy stop for early departures or late arrivals. the room we stayed in was cozy with useful amenities like a fridge and microwave, and the breakfast was delicious with fresh local produce.
The hotel is situated next to a busy road, which can make it noisy at night and during the day.

Ask Eleni whatever you need and have a great accomodation. She is like your mom, sister or daughter. Don't forget to drink tea at the garden.

Spent my xmas holidays at this lovely hotel surrounded by picturesque gardens, in a location that offers easy access to the local attractions and within reach from the airport. The homemade breakfast was a memorable experience with a variety of traditional dishes and homemade jams. My room was cozy and warm, offering an enchanting view of the natural environment.
Although I enjoyed my stay, the Wi-Fi connection was unstable and the TV channels were limited. I would have also appreciated if the towels were changed more frequently during my xmas holiday.

Well first of all there is wonderful Eleni, the proprietress of the house, who makes astonoishingly good coffee, conversation and company, not necessarily in that order. She presides over a beautiful old Genoese building near the beach and the airport in Kampos, which is about as surprising as a suburb can be (for beauty and history especially). The rooms are comfortable and the right side of rustic, and give one the feel of having lived at the time of the island's florescence. We went all over the southern half of the island but were always happy to get back to Eleni at Topakas House. She and her husband Kostas were the very essence of gracious, helpful hosts. We WILL go to her/them again at the earliest available opportunity. Wouldn't you?

Eleni is the best host you could hope for. The family loved the experience of staying in an old farm house. It is an ideal base for an extended stay on Chios.

They were incredibly helpful and attentive to my needs, even offering me homemade meals and delicious breakfast. the rooms were also very clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect for exploring the surrounding area.
Although the location was great, the noise from nearby streets and passing cars was a bit of a disturbance during the night. the TV reception was poor, making it difficult to watch any channels other than Greek ones.

Excellent hostess. Very very friendly. Very good with kids (we had a 2year old with us). Great yard where you can relax. It is an old Arhontiko house. If you want to visit one arhontiko in Kampos area then this is the one. When I visit Chios I will certainly go back to topakas house.

A pleasant courtyard in which to relax with a drink or snacks while you catch up on your emails. I opted for no breakfast but was given a huge pot of filter coffee with some lovely home-made cakes and biscotti. There was no charge for these, nor for the bottle of water I was offered on arrival. For some people, the small en-suite facilities may be just a bit too rustic, but this is reflected in the price. The room was comfortable and quiet. It was August but I didn't need to use the air-con very much. Definitely a place I will return to if I am given the chance.
